N.Nazarbayev: Holding of OSCE Summit - high honor and great responsibility

In his January address to the OSCE Permanent Council the Kazakh President specified the conduction of the Summit as the main priority of the Kazakhstan's presidency in the Organization. The decision on holding of the Summit was unanimously adopted by the Foreign Ministers Council of the Organization member states on August 3. This proves the highest consideration of the international community of the successes of Kazakhstan people achieved during the years of independence.

"Holding of the OSCE Summit - first big international event at the post-soviet space - is not only an honor but a great responsibility. It is important now to provide its preparation and conduction at the highest level. We have a unique opportunity to demonstrate the main values of our society - tolerance, respect to traditions, trust and mutual understanding", the President said.
