N.Nazarbayev believes that Customs Union to become basis for establishment of higher international level in future

The Head of the State expressed such opinion at the press conference upon the results of the session of the EurAsEC Interstate Council on the top level held today in Minsk.

According to N.Nazarbayev, the single economic complex with common rules and development methods will be established this way on practice. It will be the basis for establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union.

 The President noted that the Common customs area establishment provides opportunities for extended cooperation of three countries in different fields. First of all it will unite efforts on establishment of joint productions and cooperation. It is very important for industrialization and protection from external commercial expansion.  

"Secondly, people of three states will be able to trade freely, without customs payments for border crossing and execution of numerous documents. Thirdly, the common market of our countries amounted to USD 2 trln, i.e. it is attractive for investments. Therefore, our economies will receive an essential impetus. New jobs will be created, the assortment of consumer goods will be extended", N.Nazarbayev said.   

The Head of the State noted that the competition at the market of three countries will be increased as well. It will promote increase of goods quality and their availability.

"Fifthly, we will be able to use the great transit potential of our states more efficiently. As the result, the incomes of our states will increase as well as the opportunities of the Governments on population and business support. Entrepreneurs of or countries will be provided with favorable conditions in access to the international markets", N.Nazarbayev said.
