N. Nazarbayev and CEO of Glencore International AG discussed company's investment projects in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. February 9. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev received Ivan Glasenberg, CEO of Glencore International AG on Wednesday; the Presidential press service told Kazinform.
A number of issues regarding bilateral cooperation was considered.
"We have discussed Glencore's investment projects in Kazakhstan. We have recently installed copper-smelting equipment at KazZinc JSC, invested about USD 850 million. The new equipment will be launched in March 2011. Besides, we have considered the issue of developing "Altyntau" gold mine. The company invested USD 657 million in that mine. The capacity of gold production is 70 percent at present, in April it will reach 100 percent", Mr. Glasenberg said at a briefing for journalists.
