Myasnikovich: CIS needs to promote free trade, industrial cooperation

According to the Belarusian Premier, a lot has been recently done to strengthen the CIS and other integration associations. "Today the Commonwealth of Independent States is the only organization where all 11 member states can flexibly coordinate their positions for the effective resolution of issues of mutual interest," the Prime Minister stressed, BelTA reports.
Mikhail Myasnikovich said that these days it is important to determine the main goals and priorities for further development of interaction in the Commonwealth. "Belarus believes that the CIS needs to promote free trade, harmonize activities in transport and energy sectors, industrial cooperation, set up transnational corporations," the Belarusian Prime Minister said.
Apart from that, Mikhail Myasnikovich believes that the CIS member states should focus on the sector of innovations. "It is the field that can generate a huge synergy effect by uniting efforts of scientists and specialists from the CIS countries," the Belarusian head of government stressed.
