Mother of 7 makes false bomb threat call

SHYMKENT. KAZINFORM - A resident of Shardary town in South Kazakhstan region has been arrested for a false report of a bomb threat, regional IAD reports.

The call was placed on June 11 at 7:41 p.m. The caller informed about an explosive device in the building of a local bank. Local police officers, "Arlan" Special Forces and officers of extremism enforcement agency arrived at the scene. Police cordoned off the territory and evacuated people from the building. "During the special operations the bomb was not found," the press service reported. The caller was identified as 44-year-old local resident, a mother of seven children. She said that she came to the bank on June 11 to withdraw money. However, the staff refused to help her due to lack of electricity. Dissatisfied with such service the woman decided to take revenge and inform the police about bomb threat. Criminal case has been initiated. The suspect faces a fine of 200-500 MCI or up to 6 years of imprisonment. 1 MCI in Kazakhstan is equaled to KZT 1852 (about USD 10).
