Most skilled experts attracted for work on President's appeal to Constitutional Council

ASTANA. January17. KAZINFORM The Constitutional Council has taken over President Nursultan Nazarbayev's appeal on consideration of the Law "On amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan" for its compliance with the Constitution. The press service of the Constitutional Council reports.

"This Law which provides possible extending of the President's terms at the national referendum was adopted at the joint session of the Parliament on January 14 and submitted to the Head of State. The Constitutional Council examined the appeal at its session on January 17 and accepted it for consideration", the press release reads.

Preparatory work on assignment of participants of the constitutional procedure out of the representatives of the state bodies, as well as collection and research of necessary documents and other materials was started. The most skilled Kazakh and foreign experts are attracted for a wide analysis of professional opinions.

In accordance with the Constitution, the Constitutional Council should consider the President's appeal and make a final decision within one month.
