Moscow to host World Oil Congress June 15-19

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - Moscow will play host to the 21st World Oil Congress on June 15 through June 19, which will gather more than 5,000 delegates from 100 countries, 500 heads of the largest corporations, 50 government ministers and 500 representatives of world mass media.

The congress, to take place at the Crocus Expo exhibition centre, will be the largest over years and the most important domestic event for the Russian oil industry. The Russian government has allocated 12.592 million roubles for its organization. The congress's vast technical program encompasses the most crucial themes and issues the industry is faced with - exploration, development and transportation of oil and gas, Arctic projects, industrial management, and others. At full scale sessions to be attended by the heads of the largest oil and gas corporations, special sessions, forums and round-table discussions the delegates will be able to hear the opinion of experts regarding the most topical aspects of the industry's development, Itar-Tass informs. The accompanying World Oil Exhibition will bring together 500 participating companies and attract no less than 20,000 visitors.
