Someone called the police to report a bomb allegedly planted inside the train station's building early on Thursday. Sniffer dogs will examine the building to make sure nothing threatens public security.

Police earlier told RIA Novosti 15 hoax bomb reports had been registered in the Russian capital on Tuesday.

At least 800 people were arrested near the Kievsky station on Wednesday evening as police held a massive operation to prevent new race-hate riots. Many of those detained had knives and rubber-bullet guns.

The developments came after Saturday's riots when a 5,000-strong crowd of nationalists and football hooligans clashed with police near Red Square. Rioters also attacked dark-skinned internal migrants from the country's North Caucasus region. Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru for full version
