Moscow metro hit by crisis

MOSCOW. June 11. KAZINFORM The Moscow underground sustained one billion rubles worth of losses in the first four months of 2009, according to its director Dmitry Gayev; Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.
?In the first three months of this year, passenger traffic dropped by seven percent since 2008,? Gayev said.
He added the number of daily underground trips had decreased by 600-700 thousand for the first time in the postwar history of the Moscow underground; Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
