Moscow held conference on development of SEZ in Kazakhstan
The representatives of Kazakh and Russian state bodies, heads of foreign trade representations accredited in the Russian Federation, experts of the CU Secretariat as well as the heads of Kazakhstan special economic zones participated in the conference.
In the course of the conference the foreign partners were proposed to do business in Kazakhstan's special economic zones, namely, in "Astana-New City", "Aktau Sea Port", "Alatau IT-City" Information Technologies Park and "Ontustik" - where new innovative projects are realized today
The parties exchanged views regarding the prospects of participation of Russian business in Kazakh SEZ and the opportunities arising within the CU.
According to Deputy Trade Representative of Kazakhstan to Russia Natalya Godunova, Kazakhstan, due to its geopolitical location and dynamics of overcoming the global crisis, is able to offer very serious business opportunities to its foreign partners. "The nearest markets of Kazakhstan cover around billion people. These are the markets you can join while working in our republic ", she said.
"To date Kazakhstan works on implementation of forced industrial-innovative development program which provides for realization of 237 projects amounting to USD 50 bln", N. Godunova stressed. "Modernization of economy based on innovative way serves as a uniting factor of development of international cooperation of our country. Priority in this process is given to further deepening of strategic partnership with Russia and Belarus within the Customs Union", she added.
