Mortar attack kills Iraqi child in Baghdad

BAGHDAD. May 16. KAZINFORM A mortar round landed on a house in Baghdad's Shiite bastion of Sadr City on Saturday, killing a 2-year-old child and wounding two others, an interior Ministry source said, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The attack occurred early in the day when a mortar round struck a house in Sadr City neighborhood in eastern Baghdad, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The attack probably targeted a U.S. military base located just few hundreds meters away from the house, the source said, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.chinaview.cn for full version.
