Morgan Lewis & Bockius opens Astana Office

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Morgan Lewis & Bockius, the law firm opened its second office in Kazakhstan in Astana. It already has offices in Almaty and Moscow. Astana is Morgan Lewis's 10th overseas office. The Astana office, with three resident lawyers, will be managed by Aset Shyngyssov, who is a managing partner at the firm.
Morgan Lewis handles a variety of corporate, investment, energy and cross border transactions, specially in the fields of energy, banking and capital markets in Kazakhstan. The firm recently advised Intergas Central Asia, which operates Kazakhstan's national natural gas pipeline system on a successful consent solicitation of around $600 million, Philadelphia Business Journal reports.
