More than 5 thousand women from Kazakhstan voluntarily went to fight against fascism

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 5 118 women from Kazakhstan went to fight against fascism during the Great Patriotic War, head of the committee of statistics and special records of the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan Saule Aitbayeva told at the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument to Aliya Moldagulova.
"Kazakhstani women were like all the other people willing to protect their land. They were partisans, flyers and snipers and they just fought for their motherland and for their families and friends," S. Aitbayeva told.
She also noted that women including Kazakhstani women marched to Berlin itself during that war.
