More than 1 000 children сome to life in Kazakhstan on New Year's holiday

ASTANA. January 8. KAZINFORM - On December 31 and January 1, 1203 children were born in Kazakhstan, this has been reported by the Republican Centre for Health Development.
According to preliminary data, South Kazakhstan region has become a record holder for fertility as 262 children came to life within the mentioned period. Almaty region holds the seconds place (159 kids) and Karaganda region the third (121 children). In the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana 61 babies were born. The lowest birth rate was observed in the Akmola region where for two days only 18 children have come to light. For the first 6 days of the new year 4015 children were born in the country.
