Mongolia records strong tourism growth in April 2026
Mongolia’s tourism sector continues to expand rapidly, with foreign visitor numbers rising sharply in early 2026, Qazinform News Agency cites MONTSAME.
Official statistics show that 208,028 international tourists visited the country in the first four months of the year, that is 35% more compared to the same period in 2025. Of these, 64,597 arrivals were recorded in April alone, representing a 26% year-on-year growth.
With the peak travel season now underway, the Ministry of Culture, Sport, Tourism, and Youth, together with affiliated organizations, is prioritizing enhancing service quality across the sector, boosting international promotion of Mongolia’s attractions and developing regional infrastructure to support sustainable tourism growth.
