Minute of silence: Kazakhstan honors fallen heroes
Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev, and Majilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov paid tribute at the Otan Ana Monument in Astana in honor of Victory Day, Qazinform News Agency, citing the Government press service.
On behalf of the Head of State, the officials laid flowers at the monument.

The ceremony included a minute of silence to honor Kazakhstani front-line soldiers, home front workers, and all those who perished during the war.

"Victory Day remains one of the most momentous dates in history, reminding us of the price of peace, the continuity of generations, and our responsibility to preserve harmony and a peaceful sky," the Government's statement reads.




Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazakhstanis on Victory Day.
