Minsk National Airport named CIS best in 2013

The contest is held annually by the civil aviation association "Airport" of the CIS countries, which is a non-state non-profit organization established in 1990 to coordinate the activities of its members, expand business opportunities, represent and defend their interests. "Thus Minsk National Airport was acknowledged for its high-quality service and significant contribution to the development of civil aviation. The victory will boost the prestige of the airport in the aviation community," said the press center.
To participate in the contest the Minsk airport experts provided an overview of the Minsk Airport, including a brief history and company profile, description of the main types of works and services, enterprise management systems, new technologies in use, the achievements and awards in the field of quality.
Minsk National Airport joined the association in 1997. In 2009 it was named winner in the nomination "Fast growing airport".
Minsk National Airport is Belarus' first international airport certified in compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 international standards for all the areas of operation. Such airlines as the national air carrier Belavia and freight carriers TransAVIAexport, Ruby Star and Genex are based at the airport. The air carriers operate flights to over 40 destinations worldwide, including Europe, the Middle East and other regions. In Q1 2014 the Minsk National Airport and its branch Minsk-1 passenger traffic was up 12.6% form the same period of last year to a total of over 398,900 passengers, BelTA reports.
