Minsk holds a reception to mark Independence Day of Kazakhstan

The gala evening was attended by members of the Government, MPs, heads of security and law enforcement agencies, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Belarus, creative and scientific intelligentsia and the Kazakh diaspora.

Kazakh Ambassador Yergali Bulegenov delivered a congratulatory speech and handed grateful addresses and gifts to the prominent social and political figures of Belarus who have made a special contribution to the development of Kazakh-Belarusian relations. Among them were the Deputy Prime Minister M.Rusyi, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives S.Guminsky, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus N. Charhinest, etc. In addition prizes were awarded to members of the media who won in the competition organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan.

Deputy Prime Minister Michael Rusyi noted the high level of relations between Kazakhstan and Belarus which were established thanks to the political will of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko. The states are implementing major joint projects in the field of engineering, agriculture, science, education, etc. There have been offered great promises in the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.

The Orchestra of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the creative team of the Belarusian State University of Culture Arts played prominent Kazakh and Belarusian compositions during the festive concert.
