Minsk commemorates the fallen in Great Patriotic War

MINSK. May 10. KAZINFORM /Aituar Mamlin/ Representatives of the Kazakh Embassy in Belarus has held a wreath-laying ceremony at a memorial complex erected in honor of the Kazakh soldiers, who died in the Great Patriotic War.
Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov stressed the Kazakhstanis' contribution to the Victory in the World War II. "Kazakhstan made great contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Over one million of the Kazakh people went off to the war, and the fifth part of them did not return. Moreover, during the war more than 100 large facilities of the defense industry were evacuated to our country," A.Smirnov said.
The Kazakh diplomat congratulated the veterans, wished them health and longevity.
