Ministry of Industry and New Technologies held meeting with delegation of Bahrain

The Kazakh side was headed by Minister Asset Issekeshev, Vice Minister Yerkhat Iskaiyev.

The delegation of Bahrain was headed by Chairman of the Board of the Islamic Bank of Asia Abdulla Hassan Saif.

"Kazakhstan would like to become a window for Islamic banking on the territory of the Customs Union and the CIS. We were the first to adopt this law and currently we are working on opening a branch of Islamic bank in Kazakhstan", Vice Minister Yerkhat Iskaliyev said.

According to him, the meeting focused on discussing the sectors which could be attractive for Bahrain. The parties considered the current and new projects under the State Program of Forced Industrialization. As Iskaliyev said, the guests from Bahrain expressed interest in cooperation in food industry.
