Minister of Education Zhumagulov in Kazan to cheer on Kazakh athletes

ASTANA. July 7. KAZINFORM The 2013 World University Games kicked off in Kazan Saturday night. 45.000 spectators watched the 5-hour opening ceremony at the Kazan Arena on July 6, Kazinform has learnt from sports.kz.
The delegation of Kazakh athletes also participated in the opening ceremony. Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Zhumagulov earlier in the day greeted our young sportsmen at the Olympic village. Minister Zhumagulov arrived in Kazan to cheer on our athletes.
More than 10.000 athletes from 162 countries are participating in this year's Universiade. The World University Games in Kazan run July 6-17.
