MINEX Central Asia 2011 forum kicks off in Astana

ASTANA. April 6. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The second mining and exploration professional event MINEX Central Asia 2011 has started work at the Astana Radisson Hotel on Wednesday.
Speaking at the forum Head of 'Samruk-Kazyna' National Welfare Fund Kairat Kelimbetov said that it was necessary to renovate and modernize Kazakhstan's mining industry, introduce new technologies and establish enterprises with high added value.
"This is the requirement of the Government, and I think we're ready to start new productions and modernization on the basis of these principles," K. Kelimbetov noted.
About 400 specialists from Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Australia, the USA, Japan, Canada and other countries take part in the event.
