Military profession knows no borders and languages - Prince Michael of Kent

ALMATY. September 25. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ There are no borders and languages in military profession, while friendship and cooperation between our countries develop in different directions. Steppe Eagle-2009 International peacekeeping exercises set the best pattern of it. Prince of England Michael George Franklin (Michael of Kent) has said it at a ceremony of closure of the exercises on Ili polygon of the Airmobile Troops of the Kazakh Armed Forces.
Kazakhstani militaries were awarded diplomas, medals and souvenirs from their English colleagues.
As is known, militaries of the Kazakh Army, US and British Armed Forces were involved in the maneuvers. Over 1, 300 people and 100 unites of combat equipment participated in the exercises.
The goal of the exercises is to test the peacekeeping capability of Kazbrig and Armed Forces of the Alliance and to improve interaction among the units and organizations in peacekeeping operations.
