Metropolitan Alexander congratulates Muslims on Eid al-Adha

It awakens in the heart seeking for the good, moral purification, preaches family values, teaches respect and appreciate the genuine religious feelings in others," Ruling bishop of the Eparchy of Astana and Almaty of the Russian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Almaty said.

Metropolitan Alexander wishes to all followers of the traditional religion of Islam in Kazakhstan a peaceful sky over their heads and happiness.
He noted that "over the centuries, Kazakhstan has been the common home for the followers of the Orthodox Christianity and traditional Islam, who have worked together on creation of spiritual power of the country, strengthened the statehood defending the sacred borders."
