Men's cross country skiing relay brings Kazakhstan another gold

ALMATY. February 5. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Men's cross country skiing team of Kazakhstan won gold in 4x10 km relay.
Sergey Cherepanov, Alexey Poltoranin, Nikolay Chebotko and Yevgeny Velichko passed the distance in 1 hour 54 minutes 40.9 seconds. The 2nd place was taken by the Japanese quartet. The 3rd place was won by the Republic of Korea.
The host team made their advantage in the first stage when Cherepanov left the Japanese athlete 39.9 seconds behind. At the second stage Poltoranin made a 1.5-minute advantage and Chebotko increased the advantage by 27.1 seconds more. Velichko finished the relay first.
