Members of Government helped keep nearly 1,2 mln workplaces

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - More than 19,000 memorandums have been signed in regions of Kazakhstan to preserve workplaces, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development Tamara Duissenova said at a press conference on Friday.

"Members of the Government visited all regions of the country where they had meetings with heads of large companies, trade unions and akims (heads) of regions, cities of Almaty and Astana in early February. At these meetings, employers, trade unions and regional administrations inked 102 memorandums that helped keep nearly 259,000 jobs," Minister Duissenova noted at the press briefing of the Central Communications Service in Astana. According to her, in general, 19,000 analogous memorandums were signed. "These memorandums stipulate preservation of nearly 1,2 million workplaces," she added.
