'Mega Ice' club organized figure skating competition in Almaty

ALMATY. February 24. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ 'Mega Ice' organized a youth figure skating competition which started in Almaty today. The goal of the competition is to promote and develop figure skating in Kazakhstan, promote healthy lifestyle, and discover the best athlete.
In whole, 65 sportsmen take part in the tournament. One of the groups has already performed. The competition finishes on February 26. Sportsmen from Aktau, Aktobe, Almaty and Tashkent participate in the competition.
"The club holds the first-ever competition involving the sportsmen from the regions. Young sportsmen aged from 5-12 years compete for the victory. The winner of every category will be awarded with medals and certificates," tournament referee, figure skating champion of Kazakhstan Nadezhda Paretskaya said.
