Meeting of Leaders of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to open new chapters of interrelation's history

ASTANA. May 6. KAZINFORM "A meeting of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with Turkmen Leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov will open the new chapters in the history of the Kazakh-Turkmen mutual relations," Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mamedova announced.

"Currently the Kazakh-Turkmen interrelations are based on friendship, mutual respect, equality and mutually beneficial cooperation," G. Mamedova said during the presentation of a book by Turkmen President "Medical herbs of Turkmenistan" in Astana.

According to her, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are long-standing partners that enjoy all-round cooperation.

As reported earlier, an official visit of President of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan is scheduled on May 10-11. Following the visit, a number of bilateral documents for further strengthening and development of interstate relations will be signed.

Besides, the Turkmen President will attend a launching ceremony of the Kazakh-Turkmen section of transnational railway the North-South - Kazakhstan -Turkmenistan -Iran.

"This trunk will be a transport- logistic axis and is expected to attract new investments to the Pre-Caspian region," the Education Minister of Turkmenistan concluded.

In addition, a number of joint projects, in particular "Turkmenistan -Uzbekistan - Kazakhstan -China " oil pipeline construction, are being implemented. The project tagged the 'Project of the Year' has vast significance in social economic development not only of the two countries, but also for other regional countries.
