Media and business to evaluate public service in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. June 25. KAZINFORM The program of training of Kazakhstani government officials will include the program "Public service through the eyes of the media and business", Chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs Alikhan Baimenov told a public meeting on the provision of public services, the Kazkah PM's website informed.

"We want government officials to know how they look like in the eyes of society, how their performance is evaluated by the media, business community and those who receive their services," he said.

In order to implement the law on public services and improve and monitor public services there was established a social council consisting of journalists and representatives of business. Such social councils will be set up in all regions.

Their main objective will be to provide feedback between the government and civil society in the provision of public services to the population.

Also, the councils will make recommendations for the heads of state bodies to improve the quality of public services.

In addition, they will interact with individuals and non-governmental organizations.
