Mazhilis approves ratification of Agreement between governments of Kazakhstan and Russia on maritime transport

ASTANA. January, 28. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ At the plenary session the Mazhilis of KZ Parliament approved the draft law ?On ratification of the Agreement between the governmenst of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the sphere of sea transport?; Kazinform correspondent reports.
The Agreement was signed on October, 4, 2007 in Novosibirsk. Its aim is regulation and development of relations between Kazakhstan and Russia in the field of sea transport and ensure effective coordination of shipping.
According to Article 3 of the Agreement the sides support and develop effective business relations between competent authorities including, in particular, mutual consultations and information exchange as well as encourage the development of contacts between shipping and the associated organizations of both states.
