Mayor Tasmagambetov calls on foreign business to invest in Astana

ASTANA. May 4. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ During the IV Astana Economic Forum Mayor of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov called on the international business community for active investing in the economy of the Kazakhstan's capital.
He noted that Astana had big experience in modern town planning. Almost 40% of all construction works in the country are held in Astana. "Undoubtedly, this practice makes Astana a place of technological generation of building materials, including extra strong glass components, non-metallic mineral products and plastic products," Tasmagambetov said.
The mayor also told investors on a special economic zone of Astana, which may be very attractive for investment projects due to a favorable tax regime.
