Mayor Dzhaksybekov visits a number of medical institutions of Astana

Mayor has visited Shipager family health center, which was opened in one of the blocks of the Perinatal Center # 1. The center is designed for 250 patients. It is to provide primary medical care for 32 thousand residents, including 9 thousand children. Shipager can serve population from the nearby villages including Prigorodniy, Telman, Zarechniy and other residential areas. A. Dzhaksybekov also examined Perinatal Center # 1 which provides highly specialized medical care for pregnant women, birthing mothers, as well as gynecological patients and newborns. Doctors take care of premature babies with the help of modern medical equipment and through the whole spectrum of necessary procedures. New medical equipment allows performing minimally invasive surgeries. Governor of Astana city got familiar with the work of Municipal Hospital # 2. The hospital has 23 diagnostic and treatment units on an area of about 34 thousand square meters. Minimally invasive operations carried out in the hospital may reduce the duration of postoperative period and post-surgery complications. Municipal Hospital # 1 is a modern multidisciplinary clinical center which has high-precision medical equipment. The hospital provides professional medical assistance both, in emergency and planned procedures. Akim Dzhaksybekov also visited Municipal Children's Hospital # 2. It consists of 8 units: the hospital is located in 5 blocks, and 3 blocks are occupied by a polyclinic campus. Adilbek Dzhaksybekov has been informed on the medical facilities which will be commissioned in the current year. The facilities include: a Center for primary health care for 150 patients, Outpatient-polyclinic complex on the left bank of Ishim River, Family health center in Ilyinka village. In addition, it is planned to complete construction of the Children's infectious diseases hospital for 250 patients (expected to be put into operation Q4 2015) and the Center of medical and social rehabilitation with a polyclinic.
