Mauritius intends to appoint honorary consul in Kazakhstan

According to the press release, A.Boolell, who initiated the conversation, said that Kazakhstan is recognizable in Africa, primarily due to its position in the field of nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament. He noted that Mauritius is interested in developing relations with Kazakhstan. Therefore, Mauritius Ambassador to Russia has been appointed to represent the country in Kazakhstan in addition to his other duties. In turn Y.Idrissov said that Kazakhstan is interested in expanding political and economic ties with African countries. He informed about the Kazakh Embassy in Pretoria which will also represent Kazakhstan in Mauritius. The Minister suggested the signing of the communiqué on establishing diplomatic relations for the formal foundation of bilateral relations between the two countries.
