Mariinsky Theatre chief conductor Valery Gergiev admires Astana

ASTANA. May 1. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ World famous conductor, artistic director and chief conductor of the Mariinsky Theatre Valery Gergiev admires the capital city of Kazakhstan - Astana.
"Rapid growth and development of the city deserve the most eloquent assessment", he said at a press conference in Astana today.
The press conference was given prior to the beginning of a concert of the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre at the Kazakhstan Concert Hall.
"This is my third visit to Kazakhstan. Almaty was the first Kazakh city I visited. I like your people, I like the atmosphere here", V. Gergiev added.
