Mangystau special economic zone needs investors - Kazakh President

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a meeting with businessmen and members of the public during his working visit to Mangystau region today, Kazinform has learned from the Akorda's press service.
"One of the first free economic zones has been launched and is functioning here in Mangystau region. The zone was launched back in 2002. However, local authorities started development of its infrastructure only in 2009," President Nazarbayev reminded. The President also stressed that only 5 out of 31 projects registered in the special economic zone are actually working. "It is crucial to attract more investors," Nursultan Nazarbayev added.
