Man who fathered 32 children sets sight on 50

Tekin has five children from his first wife, 14 children from his second wife, five from his third wife and eight from his fourth wife. He also has 18 grandchildren. Speaking to the private Doğan news agency, Tekin says each wife lives in a different house, adding that his wives get on well with each other.

Tekin married to his first wife, Nihal Tekin, in 1982, when she was 15. He later married to three other women unofficially, since polygamy is forbidden under Turkish laws. Stating that he does not have any problem with memorizing the names of his 32 children, Tekin says he loves them all and wants to have 50 children, Today's Zaman reports. Tekin's wife Zekiye Tekin said the wives and children all do not have any problems with each other. "We are a crowded family. We sometimes experience difficulties meeting the needs of the family. Winter has arrived and coal aid is given to those in need. We expect assistance from the district governor's office and the social welfare foundation," she said.
