Man sentenced to 11 years in jail for killing his friend

TARAZ. KAZINFORM - Specialized inter-district criminal court of Zhambyl region has sentenced V.Velikanov to 11 years in jail.
In October 2014 in Mynbulak district of Taraz the convicted met his old friend. The two men got quarreled while drinking alcoholic beverages. Velikanov took a large cooking pot and hit his opponent in the head. (Later the investigation established that the victim died from the injuries on the spot.) The offender took a TV, a DVD, a cell phone and a murder weapon - the cooking pot, and then he left the apartment. Velikanov has been sentenced to 11 years in jail for murder and theft.
