Man rescued from icy river in Petropavlovsk

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM - Petropavlovsk police officers Ruslan Kydyrmin and Ildar Zhamaldinov are being hailed as heroes after saving a man who fell into the icy waters of the Ishim River in Petropavlovsk.
The accident occurred on December 22. It turned out that the 28-year-old V.Abishev was returning to the town of Zarechniy from friends' house and to quickly reach his house he decided to cross the river on the ice. But unfortunately he fell into a hole. The man managed to called police. The police officers pulled the man from the water. He was treated by paramedics at the scene, but was not hospitalized.
