Man arrested for bomb threat hoax at Astana airport

ASTANA. January 21. KAZINFORM A man who organized a hoax terror threat at Astana airport was arrested on January 19, the Kazakh General Transport Prosecutor's Office said on Monday.
On January 17, at about 8:00 pm, an information office of JSC "International Airport of Astana" received a mobile phone call saying that there is a passenger B., who carried a bomb on board a plane performing "Astana - Istanbul" flight.
As a result of inspection of the aircraft, no explosives were found.
A criminal case was initiated. The investigation has been taken under special control.
