Malaysia to hold Int'l Islamic Arts Festival

TEHRAN. KAZINFORM Mohsen Sharifian, Iranian musician and researcher of the country's southern music, will introduce the region's lamentation music in the second International Islamic Arts and Cultural Festival (PIIACUF) in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
The Putrajaya International Islamic Arts and Cultural Festival (PIIACUF 2014), which is scheduled to start from October 30 and end on November 2, will be attended by artists of Islamic countries, including 20 artists from Iran.
Sharifian will introduce the lamentation music of Busher which is located in south of Iran, IRNA reports.
"The PIIACUF aims at pioneering the values of Islam through the perspective of a moderate society where arts and culture takes the center stage in delivering the messages of Islam to the world."
