Malaysia occupies important place in system of Kazakhstan's foreign policy priorities - Ambassador Atamkulov

ASTANA. June 19. KAZINFORM Newly-appointed Kazakh Ambassador Beibut Atamkulov has held a meeting with outstanding political figure, former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in Kuala Lumpur.
The sides noted positive dynamics of the Kazakh-Malaysian relations development and stated similarity of the two countries' approaches on many topical issues of the international life, interaction within the framework of international and regional organizations; the Kazakh MFA's press service reports.
The Kazakh diplomat noted that Malaysia occupies an important place in the system of foreign policy priorities of our country and is a main partner of Astana in Southeast Asia which has significant political and economic potential.
The parties exchanged opinions on prospects of the bilateral cooperation development in the trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
