Major earthquake hits Taiwan

KAOHSIUNG. August 17. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale hit southeast Hualien County of Taiwan on 8:05 a.m. Monday, local earthquake monitoring center reported; Kazinform refers to China View.
The epicenter was located 187.7 kilometers southeast of a seismic station in Hualien, which is situated on the eastern coast of the island; Kazinform cites China View.
