Majilismen approve bill on creation joint air defense system b/w Kazakhstan and Russia

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today at the plenary session of the Majilis, chaired by Speaker of the House Kabibulla Dzhakupov, deputies approved the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation to establish a joint regional air defense system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation".
As was noted at the meeting, the bill would create a single regional air defense system of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, which is an integral part of the united air defense system of CIS countries. Under the Agreement, the troops of the united regional air defense system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation to be headed by the commander, appointed by the Heads of the two states.
