Majilis Vice Speaker meets with Ambassador of Portugal

Today Majilis has been visited by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic in Kazakhstan Mario Godinho de Matos. According to the press service, S.Djachenko noted that Portugal is an important political and economic partner of Kazakhstan in Europe. Portuguese diplomat called for expansion of bilateral relations which are an important component of contacts between the parliaments of the two countries and stressed the readiness for integration in various fields. The meeting raised the questions on the organization of the international exhibition Expo-2017 which is to be held in Astana. In 1998 Lisbon organised the Expo'98 (1998 Lisbon World Exposition). The round table was attended by deputies of the Majilis Valikhan Bishimbayev and Janat Dzharasov.
