Majilis to consider draft Law on ratification of Agreement on Baikonur complex between Kazakhstan and Russia

ANA. February 23. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Committee for international affairs, defense and security of Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has considered the draft Law "On ratification of the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia on development of cooperation for effective use of Bakonur complex" today at the session in Astana.
"The Agreement on use of world-known complex Baikonur has favorable terms for Kazakhstan. The issue on reduce of damage for environment as a result of launch of heavy cargo missiles from Baikonur should be also noted here", - Chairman of the National Space Agency of Kazakhstan Talgat Mussabayev said.
According to the Article 6 of the Agreement the lease period for Baikonur complex is prolonged till 2050.
After the consideration the draft Law wad forwarded for Chamber consideration.
