Majilis Speaker met with Russia, Iran party delegations

ASTANA. September 24. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Chairman of the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) Ural Mukhamedzhanov has met with the Russian and Iranian delegations taking part in the V General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties; the House's press service told Kazinform.
Leader of the Russian Communist Party Gennady Zuganov called the ICAPP General Assembly to be an important forum in Asia and said that Kazakhstan's capital is a heart of Central Asia.
During the meeting with Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Dr. M. H. Nejad-Hosseinian who arrived from Iran the issues of coordination of efforts of the national parliaments in the solution of contemporary problems were discussed.
U. Mukhamedzhanov expressed confidence that the forum would help address the problems the Asian nations face. "The V General Assembly of the ICAPP will promote further cooperation of the region's political parties", he resumed.
