Majilis Speaker met with Minister of State at Federal Foreign Office of Germany

The positive dynamics and good prospects for development of the trade, economic, political and cultural contacts between two countries were complimented at the meeting.

C.Pieper noted that the top level contacts between the countries promote further development of the partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany. In particular, issues of development of the Kazakh-German University and ratification of the Agreement in cooperation in the cultural sphere will be discussed during the visit of Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel to Kazakhstan in autumn this year.

She also asked the Majilis Speaker to assist in the issue of allocation of additional funds for development of the Kazakh-German University stressing that the German side has already decided to allocate EUR 14 mln.

U.Mukhamedzhanov promised to assist in the issue solution.
