Majilis ratifies Agreement on opening of Islamic Bank in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. June 17. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of Kazakhstan Parliament passed the bill ?On ratification of the Agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates on opening of the Islamic Bank in Kazakhstan?; Kazinform correspondent reports.
The agreement between the two governments was signed on June, 11, 2009 in Astana. The Bank will operate in industry, agriculture, real estate and tourism. The Arab party plans to forward Islamic banking specialists to Kazakhstan for further training and recruitment of the Kazakhstani personal.
The capital stock of the bank will amount to Dirham 100 mln (1 Dirham is KZT 40.94). The Bank will be opened in Astana and Almaty.
