Majilis ratified agreement of CIS states on countering legalization of criminal proceeds and terrorism financing

ASTANA. February 23. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the draft Law 'On ratification of the Treaty of the CIS member states on countering the legalization of criminal proceeds and terrorism financing' at the plenary sitting today.
Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Bolat Zhamishev said, according with the Treaty, international obligations and national legislation the parties cooperate, coordinate their activities, join efforts of state bodies, non-governmental and other organizations and citizens to combat legalization of criminal proceeds and financing of terrorism. Cooperation of the CIS member states includes exchange of information and representatives, special investigation activities, legal assistance, etc.
The Treaty was signed on October 5 of 2007 in Dushanbe.
