Majilis OKs ratification of Agr't with Vietnam on Mutual Legal assistance in Civil Matters

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - At the plenary session Majilis has approved the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on mutual legal assistance in civil matters".
"The aim of signing is to provide legal assistance in civil matters to citizens of the two states on the principle of mutuality and regard for sovereignty", said Berik Imashev, the Minister of Justice, presenting the bill.
According to the Minister, the agreement was signed during the official visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Vietnam in October 2011.
Under the Agreement, citizens and legal entities of the parties being on the territory of the other side will enjoy the same legal protection of their personal and property rights as well as citizens of the other state.
